Maricopa’s “red-vested heroes” have recently received national recognition for their outstanding customer service. Ace Hardware has secured a top position in the home improvement category of Forbes’ 2025 Best Customer Service list.
Owner Dave Karsten emphasizes that exceptional service is a core part of their mission. “We certainly strive to be the best at customer service and, historically, we have,” he stated. This commitment is reflected in the positive feedback from customers who appreciate the hard work of their staff.
In a national survey conducted by Forbes, Ace Hardware ranked in the top 1% of outstanding brands for staff helpfulness, speed, services, and problem resolution. Out of 3,500 companies, they were ranked 34th on this prestigious list.
Karsten attributes their success to a commitment to service that distinguishes them from larger stores entering the Maricopa area. “I think our neighbors in Maricopa know when it comes to where they can get quality service and interact with a human at the checkout counter, it’s with their local Ace Hardware store,” he explained.
In addition to their exceptional service, Ace Hardware has a resident shop cat named Smokey, adding a unique charm to the store. This blend of quality service and personal touch is what makes Ace Hardware a standout choice for customers in the community.
