Gulfstream Aerospace has officially inaugurated a new $130 million service center at Mesa Gateway Airport in Arizona. This significant expansion adds 225,000 square feet to their maintenance network, enhancing their capabilities in the Southwestern U.S. The facility was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key company figures and local officials.
The service center can accommodate up to 13 large-cabin jets simultaneously, offering maintenance, avionics services, and inspections. This project aligns with Gulfstreamâs commitment to sustainability, featuring recycled materials, reduced power and water usage, and a 30,000-gallon fuel farm for sustainable aviation fuel. It aims to achieve LEED Silver sustainability certification later this year.
Mark Burns, the company president, stated, âThe opening of Gulfstreamâs new Mesa Service Center aligns with our strategic vision to provide the industryâs most modern service network.â The Mesa team is prepared to deliver high-quality service to customers in the Western United States and those traveling through the region.
