A Local Treasure
To no one’s surprise, we live in an economy where movie theaters, restaurants, and most businesses are struggling. In this landscape, it’s essential to highlight established eateries that have been serving the community for decades, like Marianacci’s, a third-generation, classic Italian restaurant located at 252 W. 8th St., West Wyoming.
This cozy, family-style eatery caught my attention based on a friend's glowing recommendation. From the moment I stepped inside, I was warmly greeted by Alyssa, the bartender and owner’s daughter, making us feel like regulars right away. If you value exceptional customer service, this place will impress you.
Happy Hour Delights
The best times to visit are Fridays and Saturdays during their happy hour specials from 7 to 9 p.m. Make sure to sit in the designated bar area, which offers comfy seating and an extensive menu of specials, including $7 cocktails on Fridays. I opted for a classic Tito’s vodka-infused martini to start.
Mouthwatering Menu Highlights
As the weather turned chilly, I began my meal with a piping hot bowl of French onion soup—the perfect comfort food. Next, I was thrilled by a stunning eggplant dish featuring tomatoes, mozzarella, pesto, spinach, and tender eggplant, beautifully drizzled with balsamic.
For my main course, I tried the chicken bites, seasoned with their signature garlic parmesan and garnished with real cheese and fresh greens, transporting me straight to the sunny coasts of Tuscany.
My dining partner chose the Lenten special, a unique pagash pizza tray—a delicious combination of pizza crust topped with homemade mashed potatoes, cheese, and onions. This dish is a local favorite, but don’t delay; it’s only available until Easter!
Sweet Endings
No Italian meal is complete without dessert. We shared Momma’s famous Italian cookies, including anise, cran almond biscotti, and my personal favorite, the pepper cookie. Of course, we couldn’t resist the Tiramisu and cannolis—a must-have!
In a world where chain restaurants often dominate, let’s not forget to support local gems like Marianacci’s. Don’t just walk—run to this new favorite of mine, and when you do, tell them Chris sent you!
