System Administrator

System Administrator (AWS & Linux) - £65K - Remote (UK-based)

Are you a SysAdmin looking to take ownership of AWS infrastructure, Linux systems, and automation in a tech-driven environment? We’re looking for a System Administrator to help maintain and improve a reliable, cloud-based platform that supports major brands across the UK.

You’ll be responsible for managing cloud services, configuring servers, and automating infrastructure tasks, working closely with engineering teams to ensure systems remain secure, scalable, and efficient.

• Key role in maintaining system reliability & security

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, Redshift, S3, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, CloudFront)
• Ensuring Linux servers (Ubuntu) are configured, secure & running efficiently
• Using Terraform & Ansible to automate infrastructure & system management
• Maintaining infrastructure stability & high availability
• Collaborating with engineers to support and improve cloud operations

Nice to Have (Not Essential, But Useful):

• Puppet (for additional automation)
• Experience preparing servers for Ruby on Rails applications
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Icinga preferred, others welcome)
• Basic understanding of Jenkins & CI/CD pipelines
