Senior PR Account Manager

Hyde & Seek is headquartered in Melbourne and focuses on earned media, narrative strategy and story development. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for another experienced operator to join.

The position is remote-first, with access to workspaces across Australia for meetings and collaboration as needed.

What you’ll work on

• Develop and execute PR & communications strategy for assigned client accounts
• Build and maintain journalist relationships
• Pitch and secure earned media across tier-one, trade and sector titles
• Write media materials including releases, pitches and briefing notes
• Coordinate interviews and prepare spokespeople
• Track coverage and report on outcomes and insights
• Bring a clear strategic point of view to client work

What you'll be paid

Contract rate and full-time salary will be discussed with shortlisted candidates, based on experience, availability and scope.

What we’re after

• Senior experience in PR, communications or journalism. Agency background is a plus, not required
• Demonstrable journalist relationships and a track record of placements
• Strategic thinking, not just execution
• Strong commercial instincts
• Self-direction in a remote environment
• An ownership mentality

Bonus points for being good with media monitoring tools. We also use Slack and Google Workspace, so comfort with these is preferred. 

The structure

This role begins with a paid contractual engagement of approximately 1 to 2 months, with a clear pathway to full-time for the right person.

We’re being transparent about this upfront because we want both sides to assess fit properly. The initial period gives you meaningful exposure to the work, clients and operating style before a longer-term commitment.

You’ll work directly alongside Jasmin Hyde, Founding Director, on active client accounts from day one.
