LADWP crews are currently engaged in ongoing efforts in the Pacific Palisades and nearby regions, working tirelessly to assess and repair essential infrastructure to restore service to customers returning to their homes.
As of now, approximately 8,500 customers in the Pacific Palisades are without power. These outages are primarily in or near areas that have suffered fire damage, making them unsafe for LADWP crews to access or for power lines to be re-energized.
If you have returned to your home and find your power is out while your neighbors have electricity, please check your electrical panel. If your street or block is still without power, LADWP crews are diligently working to assess and restore the circuit supplying your area. Safety is paramount; power lines will not be activated until it is safe to do so.
LADWP is closely coordinating with Unified Command led by CalFire to ensure power restoration as soon as clearance is granted.
Water Quality Updates and Notices
A Do Not Drink Notice remains effective for the Pacific Palisades zip code 90272 and adjacent communities. An interactive map is available for customers to check if they are in affected areas.
LADWP is working with the State Water Resources Control Board to thoroughly test and ensure the highest quality of drinking water for the impacted communities. Bottled drinking water is being provided to all affected customers. For the latest information on bottled water distribution, visit ladwpnews.com/bottled-water-info.
LADWP is also assisting customers whose homes or businesses have been damaged by the fires. They can contact 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397) for assistance with billing issues and other account matters.
Correcting Misinformation about LADWP’s Water System
Any claims regarding broken fire hydrants in the Pacific Palisades prior to the fire are misleading. LADWP works closely with the LAFD to ensure that all fire hydrants are operational.
LADWP remains committed to maintaining and enhancing water system resilience in response to climate change and is actively investigating improvements to their infrastructure.
