In a world where good customer service seems increasingly rare, there are still companies that uphold the art of exceptional service. I often share my frustrations about poor customer service, and today, I'm excited to highlight a company that truly gets it right.
After switching from a notoriously bad Internet provider, I received countless invitations to return, promising low rates and fantastic service. However, if they had actually valued my business, I wouldn't have left in the first place.
In-person service can be equally disappointing. How often have you found yourself waiting in line at an understaffed counter, or wandering aimlessly in a store, only to find employees avoiding eye contact?
Recently, I shared my frustrating experiences with Apple and my ongoing wait for a replacement glass door. Itâs been weeks with no resolution.
Amidst these service fails, I had a delightful experience with Vornado, a company based in Andover, Kansas. Four years ago, I purchased a small space heater that recently had a malfunction. Without keeping the receipt, I called Vornado, and to my surprise, a real person answered immediately.
When I explained my issue, the representative reassured me, saying, "Just throw that heater away, and Iâll send you a new one." I was taken aback. She proceeded to take my serial number as proof and promised a replacement would arrive shortly.
Just as she stated, 48 hours later, the new heater was on my porch, with no charge or hassle involved. This is what customer service should look like!
When I shared this story on Facebook, my friends chimed in with praises for other companies like LG, Keurig, Chewy, Chick-fil-A, and Bose for their outstanding service. While I enjoy sharing positive experiences, I know Iâll find something to complain about again soon.
