What you will do

Learning vision and strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive global learning vision and strategy for EP's online content products
  • Lead a team of product, education and instructional experts to design and deliver impactful learning and assessment materials
  • Take responsibility for the commercial success of content products versus market competition and make decisions that maximise value for EP and our customers
  • Facilitate the creation of clear strategic objectives and key results

Learning research

  • Partner with the Head of Product Impact to measure the effectiveness and efficacy of EP's content in various regions
  • Continuously enhance the educational impact of our product and content through effective adoption of the latest in learning science research

Thought leadership

  • Be a thought leader for EP and the voice of EP's educational impact, providing evangelism on how EP's product aligns to pedagogical research and learning science to empower learning growth

Product discovery and design

  • Build a culture that values the importance of design principles, learning science and neuroscience as a foundation for high-quality content
  • Use effective product discovery methods to ensure our content achieves a high product-market fit
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of both qualitative and quantitative insights into our product, content and user needs
  • Conduct regular assessments and undertake research to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our learning materials

Content development

  • Lead a team of curriculum specialists to define and communicate the roadmap priorities for content development
  • Collaborate with content delivery to tailor learning solutions to the specific needs of our target markets and their educational contexts
  • Ensure alignment with curriculum standards, keeping abreast of curriculum updates
  • Ensure learning frameworks meet the unique needs of diverse learners

Innovation

  • Drive innovation in K-12 learning methodologies and technologies, exploring new approaches to engage students and enhance learning outcomes on a global scale
  • Continually assess new e-learning technologies and lead the adoption of new capabilities that drive impact for teachers and enhance learning outcomes for students

Team leadership

  • Build and lead a dynamic, culturally diverse team of product leaders and learning specialists, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and professional development opportunities to team members

Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Product and Content teams to align learning materials with the features of our software platform
  • Collaborate with revenue teams to support discussions with key customer relationships at a school, state/district and national level

About you

  • Senior level experience in a K-12 edtech company, leading large scale content strategy, roadmap and delivery
  • Demonstrated commercial responsibility in an edtech business and track record of product success
  • Deep knowledge and appropriate credentials in learning science and research
  • Highly skilled in market analysis and discovery techniques to inform product development
  • Deep understanding of education trends, curriculum frameworks, including experience with educational pedagogy and curriculum models in Canada and/or North America. You likely come from an academic background and have already made a move into the tech world.
