Job Title: Remote Customer Service Representative - Healthcare Billing Job Overview We are looking for a committed and empathetic Remote Customer Service Representative to become a vital member of our healthcare billing team. In this pivotal role, you will assist patients in managing their medical expenses by delivering outstanding service and facilitating payment arrangements. You will engage with patients via phone in a dynamic environment, aiming to resolve account balances and support timely payment solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional service to patients, embodying the values and mission of our organization
  • Initiate proactive phone communications with patients to assist them with medical bill payments
  • Articulate payment processes clearly, professionally, and with empathy to ensure patient understanding
  • Thoroughly review patient accounts and accurately document all interactions
  • Negotiate feasible payment plans tailored to individual patient circumstances
  • Guide patients in setting up payments through checks, credit cards, or electronic transfers
  • Comply with company policies and procedures to provide a seamless patient experience
  • Achieve or surpass established performance targets and objectives
  • Collaborate closely with team leaders and management to address issues and ensure patient satisfaction
  • Undertake any additional responsibilities as directed by management to ensure team success and high patient satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service is preferred
  • Familiarity with medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management is advantageous
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Some college coursework is preferred but not essential
